Basketball superstarLeBron James has decided to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers on a four-year, $154 million deal, he said on Sunday night in a surprise announcement, a tweet from his agency Klutch Sports Group, in the latest move that shifts the balance of power in the NBA and is likely to reshape the future of the entire league.
The sweepstakes for James' talents officially began on Friday, when he declined his option to stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers for one more season, choosing to become an unrestricted free agent. There were three serious contenders at that point: the Cavaliers, the Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers.
