Oscars 2012: The Wrap's Odds

With the Academy ballots due at bean-counters PriceWaterhouseCoopers by day's end today (Tuesday), the proverbial dies have pretty much been cast.

Regrettably, I have yet to see much of the contenders, including runaway front-runner "The Artist" or "The Tree of Life" so I've turned to a bonafide expert to see what he says (not that I always agree with the "established" film critics anyway.)

Steve Pond, author of the L.A. Times bestseller The Big Show, has been covering this particular circus for more than two decades, much of that time as the only reporter with full backstage and rehearsal access to the Oscar show.
