SportsUTech Knights get off the block in Volleyball

Beaten 2014 finalist the University of Technology, Jamaica Knights secured their first win in the 2015 Jamaica Intercollegiate Sports Association Male Volleyball Competition by defeating the Portmore Community College in last night's game .In their most impressive showing since the start of the season, the Knights, playing at home, overpowered the Portmore Community College in straight sets 25-6, 25-13, 25-12 to move to fourth position with three points. 

The G.C. Foster College Lions defeated KNOX Community College 25-11, 25-15, 25-8 to move to the top of the table with 15 points while the MICO University College Crocs maintained third position with six points by defeating the Caribbean Maritime Institute 25-14, 25-10, 25-15.

The UWI Pelicans are currently in second position with 12 points. The Caribbean Maritime Institute, KNOX Community College and the UTech Knights are tied in fourth position with three points each while the Portmore Community College remains at the bottom of the table with 0 points. 

 Female

In the lone female game of the day, the UTech Knights defeated the Portmore Community College in straight sets 25-6, 25-10, 25-10.

Action continues on Tuesday (February 24, 2015) with three games:

Female 

Portmore Community College will host UTech Knights at G.C. Foster College starting at 5:30pm in their return game

Male

KNOX Community College will travel to Angels, St. Catherine to face G.C. Foster College at 4:00 pm. 

Portmore Community College will host the UTech Knights at 7:30 pm at the G.C. Foster College in their return game.
