In recognition of the transformative value of education Attorney
and businesswoman Jacqueline Cameron is launching
her ““Champion It Up™” peak performance programme for children on Saturday,
October 10, 2015 at the Countryside Club in Kingston the key to transformation
of the nation of Jamaica, and would facilitate Jamaica achieving all the Vision
2030 goals..
Aimed at children aged 9 to 17 years with a focus on peak
performance in GSAT, CXC and CSEC, the objectives of the program, Cameron says are
to help children achieve greatness, attain their goals, and extend their
capacity for peak performance. After the launch, the programme starts October
12, and runs for four weeks.
This will be done through a coaching program which combines
their skills, academic program, beliefs and personal qualities to achieve peak
performance. The program had its genesis
in February this year 2015 for her nephew who was then preparing for the GSAT exams the following month ”We worked
intensely for a month and he did well, obtaining entry into Kingston College.
So I thought in order to prepare him for high school, strengthening particular
areas which we were unable to address sufficiently for GSAT exams, I would run
a second program for him. So I thought, "Why not open it up to other children?"
So said, so done. “
Cameron says the programme also benefits the parents
tremendously. “At the end of the programme, not only will the children be
champions in academics and in life,, but the parents will have learnt how to
coach champions”
Cameron is also offering the “Champion It Up ™” program to other
community and professional groups at a special rate ($28,000 per child )
In addition to her legal practice, Cameron is also a
musician and composer who has to date, released two gospel albums and a single.
