TV: The Doctor is On: Medical advice series renews

Call it a "medic-studded affair".

Doctor, beauty queen, and telecoms pitchwoman Sara Lawrence has continued her quest for new horizons with a foray into medical advice TV.

"Doctor's Appointment" the rudimentarily titled series completed its inaugural season to considerable acclaim, paving the way for a renewal. That took place at the Spanish Court hotel's Valencia room - bathed in the blue and green hues of the show - recently.

Chief Medical Officer Dr Winston de la Haye gave his good wishes to his colleague for the enterprise, as did main sponsors National Commercial Bank.

In addition to interviews and consults with various medical specialists, this season will also feature a weight loss challenge for women, several of the candidates also being present at the launch.

"Doctor's Appointment" hosted by Sara Lawrence, airs Sundays at 430pm. It is produced by Melody Cammock-Gayle for her Maverick Communications
