Soca
royalty Alison Hinds is expected to "Roll It" alongside high-energy sets
from DJs Kurt Riley, Supra Hype, Billy and DLife at Wray & Nephew Carnival's Soca in de City event on theh eart of New Kingston at the RKA Building Car park.. Hinds promises nothing
but a phenomenal pulsating act, in her usual style.
"I
just want everyone to come out in their numbers ready to fete. Ladies,
dress comfortable, no 'stush' settings, bring your vibes and have a
fantastic time with your crew," Hinds said.
Julianne
Lee, managing director at Jamaica Carnival, says that they are being as
inclusive as possible, trying to keep it affordable so everyone can
partake.
"Soca
in da City is the first in the series of events for Byron Lee's Jamaica
Carnival and I'm very excited to watch it all unfold. We will be making
a statement and setting the momentum for the dynamic grand finale of
Jamaica Carnival with this event," Lee said.
