A four-day celebration for Randy Weston will take place at 
Manhattan’s Jazz Standard in New York City, New York, on April 6-9. On 
these dates, two sets will be played nightly in honor of the pianist and
 composer’s birthday at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Weston will be playing 
on stage every night alongside saxophonist and  and
 flutist TK Blue, bassist Alex Blake, drummer Lewis Nash and African 
percussionist Neil Clarke.
Malian vocalist Tampani will also be on hand 
nightly. There will also be a different group of special guests each 
night. They include trumpeter Cecil Bridgewater, tubist Howard Johnson, 
koraist Saliou Sousso and Nubian instrumentalist Ayodele Maakaru.
