Poetry: Kingston Symphony , AURORA

Unencumbered by
the retreating
Vendors
the sun
paints golden
Fire
on a canvas of shuttered doors and
distressed walls
The profligate shrubs and
Trees
release their
stored
terasures
Crystal dew
Perfumed air
Birds of all kinds chirp their
Symphony
of gratitude and
Expectation
Countered by the cacophony
of
blaring horns and
Shouts
of
"Town!" "Town!"
