The Royal Jamaica Yacht Club recently hosted a
fundraising event,‘Music Under The Stars’
to benefit The Wortley Home, an orphanage for girls in Kingston, which is struggling
to rebuild after being destroyed by fire on June 29th 2015.
International
donations and concert proceeds of over $600,000 were presented to Wortley Home
Directors Keith Sangster and Tanya Wildish on September 20th 2017,
by event organizers, ‘Sisters from the 2 Cities’ - Michelle Bent and Phillippa
Adams.
The concert featured performances by Vancouver Canada based ‘Top Line Vocal
Collective’ as well as Jamaica’s Father and Son Guitarists ‘Rupert Bent Senior and Junior’. There
was also a special appearance by 11-year-old Vancouver Guitar sensation ‘Saige Adams’. Event production was
supported by Epic Events, and On Q Productions.

REBUILD: Tanya

(right), featuring Jamaican and Canadian performers and held at the Royal
Jamaica Yacht Club.
