With the weeks closing in on the sixth staging of the Digicel 5K Run for Special Needs, Digicel has announced that the Fun Run is back for another year by popular demand.
Tyre run, pillow pendulum, beam balance and the popular slip and slide are just a few of the activities that participants will be able to enjoy for the third year since the Fun Run was introduced.
"We heard you loud and clear. The Fun Run is back and open to everyone," said Andrew Brown, sponsorship manager for Digicel.
"The Fun Run is perfect for persons who want to go at an easy pace while having some fun. With no clock to beat, there is absolutely no pressure," Brown added.
The Digicel 5K Run takes place on October 7, starting from the Digicel headquarters at 7 p.m. Proceeds from this year's race will go to five special needs beneficiaries including the Jamaica Autism Support Association (JASA), Early Stimulation Program, Jamaica Association on Intellectual Disabilities, Jamaica Down's syndrome Foundation, and Mustard Seed Communities.
