Motorsport: New Car For "Hollywood" Gore, which marque will he be sporting?

Having made waves with the Audi TT, local motor racing legend Doug "Hollywood" Gore let drop that he will be coming into 2018 with a different marque from the revamped ATL Auto umbrella.

Hollywood let us in on the coming change while chatting at the Abe Ziadie Memorial Karting meet at the Palisadoes International Speedway over the weekend.

"We'll be coming with a new car, a different marque, next year, can't say which yet, but its a fantastic car," he said, with the trademark twinkle in his eyes.

Of course, that set the flame of speculation alight: will the many time local and regional champion take the wheel of a new BMW (the gleaming new showroom complex is on the verge of being opened on Lady Musgrave Road), or will he be rocking a Porsche, similar to the racy models on display at the Porsche Jamaica Centre on Knutsford Boulevard?

Again, Doug's not telling, but all being well, a spectacular reveal will take place sometime in February, following a trip to Germany (of course) for a full check and a test drive.

But clearly, its an exciting development for the driver, for the sponsor (and the manufacturer) and for the sport. You should be excited too, especially if you remember the splash Gore made with the initial Audi TT.

Watch this space.....it could come and go in a blur.
