Poetry: MOON GARDEN[Dancing with HoneyBee]

"Well, it's a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyesA fantabulous night to make romance"
-Van Morrison

With the year's first
cries barely
stilled
and a Wolf Moon casting
its silvery eye
on us
The crisp cool counterpointed
by
the rising heat
betwen
us
The gently swaying
Poinciana leaves nod
their assent
the statues modestly look
elsewhere
Ripening
navel oranges add their
tart perfume
to the
heady air between
us
bearing starlight our eyes
lock
followed by our
lips and
arms
until
there's nothing betwen
us
save mutual
yearning
whilst Patoo Giles
screeches approval
overhead
and in my head
all night long
Tal Mahal coos:
"Sweet as a/
Honeybee/
My Queen Bee"
