The William Towns-designed Aston Martin Lagonda wasn't initially seen as a beautiful car. If you wanted to be polite, you'd call it striking, if you didn't want to be polite, you'd call it hideous. But it was memorable, and in the years since it came out, the Lagonda became a cult classic and one of the most interesting cars to come from the 1970s.

Lagonda's next chapter as an electric luxury brand is coming soon, and designer Marek Reichmann better hope that this one ages as well as the 1970s original, because it's a bit, er, challenging to look at. Best described as a Faraday Future FF91 explained over the phone to someone on peyote, the Lagonda Concept imagines the future with electric propulsion and autonomous driving capabilities. It's a future where we forget about the three box design.
