Legendary reggae balladeer Freddie
McGregor is set to headline this years evening of excellence being staged by
the Shortwood Teachers’ College. The
event, titled “Jammin’ on the Lawns -An Evening of Excellence” is scheduled for
April 14th at 7:00pm, the lawns of the Cherry Gardens campus.
The presentation is the College’s
third in as many years as it seeks to raise funds to continue the upgrading of
the dormitory facilities for students. The institution will mark 123 years of
existence in September of this year.
Patrons can expect to be rocked by
“Capt. Freddie” delivering classic reggae like, ‘Big Ship’ ‘Push Come To Shove’and
‘Just Don’t Want To Be Lonely’ among many others. Freddie will be joined in the lineup by the
vivacious Etana, female Artiste Ambassador fresh from her “Love over
Everything” tour of the United States and from the release of her latest studio
album, “Reggae Forever”.
The event promises to deliver on
its reputation of an evening of easy vibes, good company and stellar
entertainment. Tickets for the event are
