And he has done so all while working a full-time job and fulfilling his obligations to his wife and family, no easy feat, as any creative will tell you. But his dedication and resourcefulness are steadily being rewarded, with several professionals, notably in the western end of the island, numbered amongst his collectors.
And his growing success has hardly dimmed his burning desire to contribute to the greater good of the society. Indeed, Bulgin is seeking to donate portions of his sales to a number of charitable organizations and causes, including the Jamaica Cancer Society.
Aiding that cause, will be an upcoming solo exhibition - his first - at the storied Round Hill hotel and Villas, still a winter playground to hedge fund managers and the like.

Whatever the course of his art and his life, be certain that you will continue to encounter the explorations of Hilroy Bulgin, and that you will continue to be impressed by both the passion in the works, and by the calm easygoing nature of the artist himself.
I also discovered Hilroy Bulgin and his art at the Liganea Art Festival and found it compelling,I am keen to see all he does, as his style is appealing and reminiscent of the Aboriginal storytelling art I have also been influenced by.
