Good morning. A very expensive “Friends” reunion is in the works to help launch AT&T’s HBO Max streaming service, the Journal’s Joe Flint reports, but it won’t be a new episode.
Under the terms being discussed, each of the six “Friends” stars—Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer—would earn between $2.25 million and $2.5 million for a retrospective special featuring interviews with the cast. Initially, the cast was offered $1 million, but they said no thanks.
