In the
painterly glow of the
late afternoon
2 avian talismen
come before
me
summing up the state of my
heart
Skimming the home-dotted
hilltops
A hang glider
scarlet canopy
taking in air
affording a panoramic
reverie
to one
half of me envies
him yet
there is also pity
for my
reverie
requires no wing
You are all it takes to
give me
lift
Your passionate love is
a greater gift
than flight
then
a sparrow hawk
zooming gracefully
groundward
in search of
supper
My own heart is
full
and yet
greedy
for the air you
supply
I spread my wings
gulping wide
rising
rising
rising
libidinous emotions caressing
the sky
then just as suddenly
I lock in fast
and with head leaned forward to
the task
I shoot toward
you
diving
Diving
DIVING....
