New York skate and fashion outfit Supreme are at it again, playing their whole with-whom-will-we-next-collaborate schtick, and this time, it’s German luggage powerhouse RIMOWA.
The European manufacturer of high-end aluminium suitcases is set to get the iconic red and white makeover, with pieces going on sale on the 12th of April, though if history is anything to go by, they won’t last long.
So far it looks like they’ll be available in three sizes, and the hugely popular NYC company made the announcement with a cheeky video which nods at their skateboarding roots, via Instagram.
This comes not long after French luxury brands giant LVMH purchased RIMOWA, to add to their already exhaustive profile of high-end brands. Given the success of the Supreme and Louis Vuitton collaboration last year, it’s not hard to imagine this heralding in future LVMH collabs. Vueve Cliquot? Dior? Ardbeg? TAG Heuer? RM Williams?
Time will tell who’s next to get “Supremed”. In the meantime, expect to see these bags in airport lounges frequented by the ultra chic and super-rich skateboarding set (and their many hangers on)…
