Jazz: Jazz Master Randy Weston "Comes Home" for International Jazz Day 2018 Jamaica

National Endowment for the Arts(NEA) Jazz Master Pianist Randy Weston, with his African
Rhythms Trio, will grace the lawns of Devon House come April 30 for the 2018 edition of International Jazz Day Jamaica.

Weston, born in Brooklyn, New York, to Jamaican parents, in 1926, has played with scores of jazz legends, including Booker Ervin and trombonist Melba Liston, who herself taught at the Edna Manley College's School of Music.

Organized by the Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts in association with the US Embassy in Kingston, the celebration unfolds

The show will also feature a host of EMCVPA faculty as well as alumna Jamila Falak

Tickets are J$2500. Showtime is 7 pm
