darkened hallways and
years of
hate
5 minutes of
idle chatter that saved
one life
through delay
11 souls

not so fortunate

heading to an wholly unexpected fate
several of them in the twilight
of their lives
but not knowing that the
darkness would rush in
fast as a
speeding bullet

30,000 days - give or take - of one

life

carefully and dutifully lived

ended in less than

30 seconds

2 generations of

wedded bliss

transmuted to

eternity

Death - like love - 

a binder

as the nation

still reeling

is brought to 

its knees

one brutal Sabbath

morning
