The Bonds of Promised Land

Britain, once the world's mightiest empire, finding itself in need of labour to shore up its battered sugar colonies,  turns east to....


China, a vast, ancient and mysterious land, being unravelled by the harsh hand of nature and internal strife
The two reluctantly tied together to pull thousands across the oceans and into a new land, with new challenges.
by bonding together, they would forge an entirety new identity over succeeding generations, growing from small shops to national and regional conglomerates.

This is the story of a people's movement, of how they overcame obstacles and  created a legacy of success.
Its an immigrant story, a Chinese story, a Caribbean story, a universal story.
Its the tale of those who took on....
